Athens: P. Waterbury King, 1930
File — Case: MSS Vertical File Drawer One
Identifier: Folder 80
Scope and Contents
File contains a typewritten statement made by P. Waterbury King to representatives of the Greene County Historical Society concerning his recollections of the history of the Haviland Farm at Athens, originally built by Captain Benjamin Haviland around 1780. Mr. King was in his late eighties when he provided the statement, which waxes poetical at some points but offers interesting trivia on the history of the Haviland Farm and the lineage of the Haviland family, of which he was a descendant.
