Scope and Contents This collection contains miscellaneous news clippings and two scrapbooks containing photocopies of the recollections of Charles Pierce, former employee at the Tick Tock Inn in West Coxsackie. Also included in the box is a Menu from the Tick Tock Inn [A separate gift of Frank Gerraine] as well as a selection of local postcards in a poly artifact sleeve.

Coal Book of C. L. Beach and Company

Scope and Contents Item is a bound ledger containing the accounts of various residents of the Village of Catskill with Charles L. Beach and Company for deliveries of Coal. It appears that accounts were both for residential users and businesses. An alphabetical index of all account holders appears at the front of the ledger. On pages 415 to 422 appear what seems to be an account possibly of coal useage or sales from the Steamboat Redfield, and a separate account follows for the "McManus Hay Dock."

Scope and Contents Map is a blueprint made by Charles H. Van Orden from an original map of John Cantine's grant for Lands Under Water at Catskill Point in 1795. Van Orden's map faithfully copies the complete description and survey, and includes a separate description of "Original allotments by balloting of lots drawn by the seven proprietors December 3, 1805" which probably refers to owners of the divisions of the Lindsey Patent which this grand adjoined. Scope and Contents Map is a blueprint of a survey by Charles H. Van Orden showing measurements and headings for a survey of the first and second divisions of the Lindsey Patent. This map, which is an alternate description of MAP 2020.0016, gives the initials of original owners of the lots in both divisions as well as the lot numbers, but provides no narrative description of the Patent nor a cardinal point to orient it. Scope and Contents Map is a blueprint copy by Charles H. Van Orden of an earlier map once in the possession of Theodore A. Cole. The Lindsey Patent was the original grant covering the east side of the Village of Catskill confirmed in 1738. The First division of 10 lots was made in in 1741, and a second division comprising 20 lots was made the same year. Courtney W. Tolley Collection

Scope and Contents This collection comprises the wartime correspondence of Courtney W. Tolley totalling approximately 40 letters along with a scrapbook which contains several wartime snapshots and news clippings as well as a wide selection of ephemera related to commemoration events for the 77th Division and survivors of the 306th Machine Gun Battalion. Also included is a typewritten transcription of Courtney Tolley's letters in blue covers with a steel ACCO binding.

Patients and debtors listed include many notable Catskill residents from the time, including Frederic E. Church, Maria Cole, Mary Cole, and Theodore Cole. An inscription on the front cover reads, "Dr. Fanning's Day Book Catskill - cor.
