Scope and Contents

This register contains chronological entries giving the name of remitters and payees of money orders handled by Louis Teich as postmaster in Leeds. the entries are broken into eight columns under which is entered the date, consecutive number of the order, remitter of order, payee, post office drawn upon, order amount, fee recieved, and date of repayment if such was the case. Names given under the remitter column are almost exclusively local residents.

200 [approx.] Sheets (Bound volume) : Bound register missing its boards and partially disbound. Pages are formatted specifically for use of postmaster. Volume enclosed in blue perma-dur boards and tied with linen tape. ; 8.25" x 13.25" inches approx.
