Scope and Contents

This series comprises a selection of documents related to the creation and operation of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge as well as a selection of news clippings related to the bridge, its history, and its ongoing operation. Of note are files of legal proceedings between the Bridge Authority and property owners who owned land which was required for the bridge approaches in Catskill.
