A daily diary of William Henry Boughton during his time serving in the 12th Battery of Michigan Artillery (1st Regiment). Boughton makes references to his uncle, Egbert Lineburgh of Catskill, New York, and miscellaneous mentions to visiting Catskill in the past. The diary also mentions "Miss Betsy Criswell [Betsey Croswell], my old boarding mistress in Catskill."
