Biographical / Historical
The Open Studio is a gallery space and storefront located at the corner of Main and Thompson Streets in the Village of Catskill. The space displays works by the artists Dina Bursztyn and Julie Chase, featuring prominently Dina Bursztyn's ceramic work, Julie Chase's embroidered, sewn, and assembled/collage work, and the "ArTchaelogical Museum" - an alternately playful and sobering reimagining of discarded everyday objects with interpretive labels. Printed materials produced by Potato Spirit Emergency Press representing additional works by them are sold from the gallery as well.
