Scope and Contents

This collection includes seven diaries of Elizabeth Miller (1829-1908) of New Baltimore, N.Y. The diaries include daily entries with insights into life in 1860s New Baltimore and surrounding areas. Notable entries include a trip to Albany, N.Y. to view Abraham Lincoln's body lying in state in April of 1865.

Collection also contains articles about Miller and the diaries written by Frances Dietz for the Greene County Historical Journal along with notes, background material, and a full transcript of the diaries.
