Map and Survey of a Farm Situated in the Town of Catskill known as the TenBroeck Farm

 Item
Identifier: MAP 2019.0005-7G.3

Scope and Contents

Map is a survey of the division of the old TenBroeck Farm on the southern side of the Embought completed by John Van Vechten in 1834. The farm was in the vicinity of the Van Orden, Trumpbour, and Richardson Farms, and was divided following its purchase by Jacob Van Orden and William and Jarvis Richardson. The parcel seems to lie south of the intersection of modern Embought Road and Route 9W, and the large tract was serviced by a road described as being laid down for "the accommodation of the farms" - the scale of the map is in question and could possibly also lie directly along Embought Road.
