Scope and Contents
This album contains photographs of the Parsons Farm in New Baltimore, New York along with images of the surrounding area compiled around 1900 by Dr. Edmund Bronk Southwick, son-in-law of Stephen Parsons. There are approximately ten images per side of each sheet in the album, and all are labled with captions below each image. The sheets of the album are decorated with ink renditions of plants and trees. Subjects featured in the album include the farmhouse and barns of Stephen Parsons, the Croswell Paper Mill on Hannacroix Creek, scenes along Hannacroix Creek itself, the Poor House, and the barns and farms of neighbors including the McCabes. All images are small snapshots measuring no bigger than 4 x 4 inches, and many are somewhat faded with age and may have been improperly exposed when taken.
