Item is the first minutes book of the Greene County Firemens Association, later known as the Greene County Volunteer Firemen's Association. The ledger comprises 54 pages filled front and back with minutes of the organization relating to the creation and activities of the organization including the planning of their annual convention. Ledger includes financial statements, lists of officers, program handbills, and resolutions and actions taken by the GCVFA during the first two decades of their existence.
