Scope and Contents
This scrapbook contains a selection of news clippings and ephemera collected by Pauline Palmateer over the course of roughly 80 years. Items within relate primarily to Athens, New York and include lots of newspaper photographs related to the village of Athens and its various industries. Also included are some news clippings showing buildings on Main Street in Catskill. Many news clippings come from the Athens Herald and Athens News, both being newspapers for which a complete archive of back issues does not exist.
