Scope and Contents
This pocket record is a small formatted notebook made specifically for ministers and geared towards the specific type of daily record keeping they would be interested in. As such, Reverend Wood's pocket record contains pages covering the topics of weekly sermons and listing bible passages referenced for each, as well as a register of baptisms, special services, and funeral services he attended during his time at the Leeds Reformed Church. Of particular note are the Funeral Service notes, as they give the date of the service as well as place of internment.

Biographical / Historical
Reverend George Wood served as pastor of the Leeds Reformed Church from 1924 through 1944. He was actively involved in church and community life, and called the area home during his time as minister to the faith community in Leeds. His daugher Carolyn Wolz retained materials of her fathers following his passing and donated a selection of images [Separately cataloged as PC-2020-0014] as well as this small pocket record.

96 Sheets (A small bound notebook with formatted pages.) : Black leather soft covers, pages edged in red treatment. Cover reads "Stall's Pastor's Pocket Record" ; 5.5" x 3.25" inches approx.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
This item was donated by Reverend George Wood's daugher, and was mailed to the Greene County Historical Society with a letter explaining its origin and clarifying it as a donation on 17 July 2020.
