Scope and Contents
This is a 165 page comb-bound transcription of the diary of Arlo Glen Van Valkenburg, donated by the NAVVF. It was written between 1921 and 1924, when he was age 15 to 19. The cover explains that Arlo was born June 28, 1905, graduated from Fayette High School, married Flora E. Struble, and died July 31, 1966 at the age of 61. This transcription also includes copies of photos, newspaper clippings, marriage records, and other notes pertaining to Arlo and his family, added by the editor.
