Scope and Contents
Map is a detailed survey of a public highway surveyed in 1850 by John Van Vechten now known as Vedder Mountain Road. The road spans a gap crossing between Cauterskill Road and the road to Madison [Leeds] in the Town of Catskill. Homes of residents living along the highway are shown to orient the map, and are also referenced in the description of the survey. Homes shown include those of Richard Ecklor, Levi Plank, Sarah Brandow, the Lampmans, James Moore, and the Burgh House.

Map is a small survey of a public road near a powder mill. This survey has no defining features or names of residents along the route of the road, but is marked as running northward from the Ulster County Line towards the powder mill location, indicating this may have been a mill within Greene County.

Map is a survey of a lot of land in Jefferson Heights lying along the Susquehanna Turnpike [Route 23B]. Included in the survey are the lots of James Stevens and of Columbus Stevens. No buildings are shown and no points of reference other than an intersecting road along the Turnpike.

Map contains a color-coded survey of 1,666 acres of land jointly purchased by the Myres [Myers] and Wynkoop Families. The tract purcahsed fell on both sides of the Albany/Ulster County Line and was situated along the Caterskill [Kaaterskill] Creek just east of the modern hamlet of Palenville, possibly in the vicinity of High Falls. The map shows a variety of interesting things. It contains the surveyed boundaries of the full tract broken into colored lots - a faded blue or green for the Wynkoop...

Map of Henry Blanchard's Lot at Kiskatom

Scope and Contents
Map is a small survey of the boundaries of Henry Blanchard's lands at Kiskatom, probably in the early 19th century. Of note is that a church is drawn in the corner of the map as a reference point to orient the survey. Whether this is the Kiskatom Reformed Church or not requires further examination.

This map shows a survey of the Kiskataminiska [Kiskatom] Patent originally granted in 1719 to Hendrick [Henry] Beekman and Hubertus [Gilbert] Livingston. The survey shows subdivided and leased lots as they appeared in 1771. Included on the map are the names of those living within and around the patent showing the locations of their homes. Map is a survey of the channel of the Hudson River at Athens showing Middle Ground Flats. Of note on the survey is that each dock, wharf, or landing in the Village is marked out with its relative location. These included two docks given as "Shipyard Dock," the slip for the Hudson-Athens Ferry, the Steamboat Dock, Howland's Dock, Vroman's Dock, the buildings of the Knickerbocker Ice Company, D. Whiting's Dock, the "Ice Co.'s Dock" and the Railroad Depot. No features are shown for the east side...

Map of the Athenian Turnpike Road

Scope and Contents
Map is two fragments of what was once a much larger multi-page survey map and description of the Turnpike between Athens and Leeds, NY, now modern Leeds-Athens Road. Page one shows the commencement of the turnpike at the Village of Athens, and several buildings are shown along the route. Page two shows the terminus of the turnpike at Madison [Leeds] and marks the location of a toll house. The map was composed by William Tolley on behalf of the proprietors of the Turnpike.
