File contains a resolution extending thanks to Addison Delamater and family for their hospitality during Memorial Day Celebrations in 1912. Document is signed by surviving veterans of the Civil War from Athens who were entertained by the Delamaters at their home. Names on the document include: George S. Nichols, Augustus Goeller, William Bogardus, George Bogardus, Andrew Ridgeman, Freeman Rossman, Samuel Sprague, Addison Scott, George Garrison, and David Jackson.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Item is a gift of Eve Melcher [Mrs. Harmon Melcher] to George W. Bagley, President of the Greene County Historical Soceity, in November of 1970. The document was presented to her family, Addison Delamater presumably being her father.
