Catskill: Harold W. Becker, 1900 - 1934
File — Case: MSS Vertical File Drawer Three
Identifier: Folder 103
Scope and Contents
File contains miscellaneous papers of Harold W. Becker, former Postmaster in the Village of Catskill. Included in the file are a selection of miscellaneous receipts for automotive service and delivery of cars to a garage, a possible list of early car owners in Catskill, Draft materials of Harold Becker from 1918, and a selection of personal correspondence. One lengthy letter was written to him by his cousin Clifford who was an employee of the New York Central Railroad at Buffalo, and the letter discusses his employment and responsibilities at the Railroad in length. Harold Becker was also a member of the Greene County board of the State Division of Alchololic Beverage Control in 1933, though no papers in this file testify to his activities in that role.
