Scope and Contents

File contains 1833 deed for land purchased from William and Ester Judson by Ambrose Baker, David French, and William S. Keep for use of the Baptist Society. The file contains the 1850 certificate of sale to the highest bidder (Ambrose Baker) of the Baptist Society Church land on Mansion St, the 1851 sheriff's deed to Ambrose Baker of the aforementioned land. Letter from the Saratoga Insurance Co. concerning the Church mentioning the steeple, bell, and clock. File contains documents concerning the settlement of Ambrose Baker's estate by his executor Edwin Baker including the sale of the land where the church was located and the reuse of the building materials.
