THIS BOOK IS DESIGNATED IN THE CATALOGUE OF RECORDS AS THE : TREASURER'S RECORD BOOK GENERAL CONTENTS OF THIS BOOK (1) Earliest record is that of itemized Receipts from contributors ( pew holders) and Disbursements starting May 6 1841. The record is in the handwriting of Charles B. Pinckney. This record carries thru to about April 1859. (2) Records of John A Cooke, Treasurer from April 1859 carry thru to April 1862. (3) A memorandum follows these entries stating that the cash records of Charles S. Willard the Treasurer from April 3 1862 thru April 3 1969 are to be found in "another book. ". (4) The records of Receipts and Disbursements of the Tressurer Walton Van Loan, follow this memo mentioned above, starting April 3 1869 and carrying thru June 4th 1912. During this period, the individual recordings of contributions virtually ceased and we find that from 1904 onwards, most of the receipt entries are those which came in thru the " Financial Secretary " (Charles L. Van Loan) There are certain outstanding exceptions indicated, when particular items are seperately noted. Specific and detailed expenditures, of course, continue as before. (5) Specific Ledger Accounts were set up to record the pay. ment of Salaries to Rev Thomas Richey; Rev E J Baker Rev William S Chadwell (6) The RECEIPTS AND DISBURSEMENTS ON THE NEW CHURCH FUND starting 1898 continue thru 1902. (7) Receipts and Disbursements on the MISSIONARY FUND are shown for the period of 1898- thru 1900. (8) The PARSONAGE FUND of 1861-62 handled by John A Cooke follows (9) In the back of the book is what appears to be the cash collections taken at services from 1844 thru 1855 in Mr Pinckneys handwriting (10) On the very last page is a summary, doubtless a copy of a Diocesan Report, for the year 1869 Compiled March 10 1949 by George W Bagley Warden, St. Luke's Church
