Scope and Contents
This collection comprises several decades worth of news clippings, photographs, and promotional flyers for athletic programs and events in the Village of Catskill as compiled by Orliff Heath. The earliest materials relate to sports teams at Catskill High School in the early 1900s as well as the 16th Separate Company basketball team at the Catskill Armory, but the majority of clippings relate to Catskill High School's various varsity teams from the 1930s to the 1980s. Of particular note are several flyers for exposition and league games held at the Catskill Armory from the 1920s to the 1930s glued to wallpaper backings.

3 Volumes (Two bound scrapbooks and one oversize box.) : News clippings, photographs, and handbills glued to scrapbook sheets. ; 21" x 24" inches approx.; 27" x 20" inches approx.; miscellaneous.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Two of the three scrapbooks are in reasonable condition and can be opened and paged through as indended by the compiler. The third scrapbook arrived disbound and broken with pages out of order and crumbling apart.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Materials in this collection were donated to the Greene County Historical Society by the Oravsky family of Catskill in 2018. Orliff Heath was a relation and these items passed into care of the family after his death.
