Scope and Contents

This extensive survey of the lands east and south of the Kiskatamanisha Patent [Kiskatom] shows the divided lands of David Abeel made among his heirs as well as the lands of William Cockburn and his family to the south on ajoining patents. The map's bounds extend northward to the boundaries of the Catskill and Kiskatamanisha Patents, westward to the lands of Vicnent Matthews and others, south to the Pantent of Cornelius Ten Broeck, and east to the banks of the Caders Kill [Kaaterskill Creek].

The names of parcel owners are given generally as proceeding north to south: Christina Demyar[?]; Austin Evertson; William Cockburn; Row (house shown); John V. Scott; Benton; Sylvanus Cash (house shown); Gerret Abeel (house shown); the wife of Jacobus Hasbrouck; Anthony Abeel (house shown); Catherine Abeel; Comfort Smith; John Fiero; Tobias Wynkoop, Jr.; Alexander Cockburn; James Cockburn; and William Cockburn, Jr. Several homes of non-property owners are shown as well - the home of an unnamed Brandow on the lands of Catherine Abeel, home of unnamed Dederick east of the Kaaterskill, unaatributed home east of the Kaaterskill, and the home of Thomas Moshier[?] on Alexander Cockburn's lands.
