Scope and Contents
Map is a colored drawing showing the organization of the water works created to supply clean drinking water to the Village of Catskill in 1884. The map shows the Hudson River and the pump station/dock of the water work, while A red line denotes the pipeline from the pump station ascending High Street and crossing the lands of the Heirs of Maria Cole and the lands of Theodore Cole. A reservoir is shown on the lands of George Clark adjacent to the lands of Theodore Cole, and a separate red line denotes the water main from the reservoir beneath Spring Street which supplied the Village.
