Included in this file are several documents related to different branches of the Clough family, particularly legal papers including an article of agreement between Lewis Clough and Jacob E. Clough, and a mortgage from John C. Claw [Clow] to Casper I. Hallenbeck. There are several other documents concerning domestic finances consisting of receipts and a charge account of Mrs. L. Day for goods bought of E. S. Fox over the winter of 1840 which was paid on Mrs. Day's behalf by a Clow.
