Scope and Contents
Materials within the collection deal primarily with legal issues that plagued the last years of the Canajoharie and Catskill Railroad (C and C RR) and later concerned John T. Mann as receiver of the company when it ceased to exist. Of particular note are State legislative reports concerning the C and C, and several legal cases concerning the recovery of funds by stockholders with interest in the defunct railroad.

This departure book contains entries noting guests with their date and time of departure from the Catskill Mountain House from either the Otis Summit Station of the Otis Elevating Railway or the Kaaterskill Station of the Catskill and Tannersville Railroad. This register was likely kept in order to track the handling and transfer of baggage.

This map shows the layout of temporary rails in the quarry of Alpha Cement which moved raw materails to a crusher and storage building adjacent to the quarry site. Precise dimensions and topography of the quarry are illustrated in the blueprint and all buildings are shown and labeled.
