File contains correspondence between Frank Howland and Albert Bloodgood concerning ammendments to Mr. Howland's deed allowing joint ownership by he and his wife. Also within are receipts from Howland and Son which lists payment made by Ella Edwards' estate for the funeral Samuel Seaman to W. C. Brady. The deed within this file was made between Frank S. and Hattie E. Howland of the first part and Alton B. Daley of the Second part for the Glue Factory Parcel on Market Street in Athens.

The agreement goes on to state the conditions each party needed to meet to satisfy the purchase agreement, and the agreement was binding only for the Winter of 1914-1915. File contains a deed concerning lot 104 in a grant given to Cockburn, Barney, and others in the town of Ticonderoga originally in 1808. The deed lists subsequent owners and holders of the mortgage on the land. Included names are Ebenezer Barney, Daniel Stone, Samuel Mann, and Samuel Warner. The deed was surrendered to John Kierstead by Ebenezer Barney and Samuel Warner in 1837.

File contains a typewritten statement made by P. Waterbury King to representatives of the Greene County Historical Society concerning his recollections of the history of the Haviland Farm at Athens, originally built by Captain Benjamin Haviland around 1780. Mr. King was in his late eighties when he provided the statement, which waxes poetical at some points but offers interesting trivia on the history of the Haviland Farm and the lineage of the Haviland family, of which he was a descendant.
